Bible verse about having faith when you feel alone
There will come a day when we realize that we cannot go through our trials alone, and that there is no better relationship than having one with God.
The Bible declares than when mother and father have forsaken you the Lord will take you up. So when you feel scared or alone remember He is Jehovah Shammah and even though He might not show up when we want Him to, He will always be right on time.
Isaiah 43:2
“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”
Sometimes as Christians we feel suffocated by the stress of life, which leaves us feeling like we are drowning alone. In this verse the Israelites, having escaped bondage, came upon the Red sea, which for many of us, are the stumbling blocks we face.
However, Jesus was telling them and us that even during rough waters, He got us. He promises that “when” not “if” we face fiery trials, he will deliver us, just as he did for the Israelites. So remember, just “keep your head above the water” God is with you! He did not bring you this far to leave you.
Deuteronomy 31:6
“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
When trouble surrounds us, we are susceptible to feeling afraid and weak, especially when we are overwhelmed with emotions. And sometimes we end up running away from our problems or possibly taking them out in the worst ways possible. But as Believers, God is asking “Why are you afraid?” (Mark 4:40) He told us that if He is for us no one and nothing can be against us.
We can overcome our trials. God said the only person we should fear is Him because fearing him means trusting Him and trusting Him means knowing he is going to be there for us when we face difficult times. And know this, you are stronger you think.
Joshua 1:5
“There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
This is a reminder to us of God’s promise to Joshua while he was leading the children of Israel to the Promised Land, after he had succeeded Moses. This Promise that God gave to Joshua is also for Believers today, that while you are on going through your wilderness, have faith that he will go with you.
And even if our family fails us, our friends turn against us, He will never abandon us, for the Bible says He is going to be with us even until the end of our days, (Matthew 28:20).
Bible verses about finding faith in your chaos
When everything in your life feels like it spiraling out of control, there is firm foundation in which we can find peace and that is Jehovah Shalom (The God of Peace). So meditate on these words, invite peace into your life because if God said it shall yours.
James 1:2-3
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.”
In these verses, James is telling us that whenever we face trials or temptations that test our faith, we should embrace them and count them joy. But why? It all comes down to faith in those moments. James also said that it’s during those trials that we learn how to be patient, it’s God’s way of molding us into the men and women he needs us to be.
When you were in high school or college your teacher didn’t give you tests because they hated you, they gave you because they want to prepare you for the bigger exams that will come. Yes, you might have failed a few tests or had a few bad days but in the end, it will all pay off.
John 16:33
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
Traveling this Christian journey will not be an easy one, in fact, Jesus warns us that we will experience difficulties in our lives. And at times it may feel like your whole life is turning upside down, and you’re finding it impossible to find peace amidst your chaos.
But the Bible is filled with amazing characters who held their faith even when tried. So times might be dark for you right now, but stop looking to the world for comfort and start looking to God, in Him you can find peace, hope and sovereign joy.
Bible verses about finding faith when we need healing
The God that healed the sick and raised the dead is the same God that is available to each of us today. So trust your healing process, yes it might be a journey, but take comfort in these verses and know that He is a miracle working God.
Mark 5:34
“And he said to her “Daughter your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction.”
Do you remember the story of the woman with the issue of blood? This woman, scorned because of her disease, had been sick for years and no matter where or which doctor she went to no one could help.
But her faith in Jesus was so much that she believed if she could just touch the hem of His garment she would be healed. And just as this woman claimed healing by placing her faith in God, we too can be healed of our afflictions in the mighty name of Jesus. All it takes is your faith, and to proclaim healing over your life.
Jeremiah 30:17
“For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.”
Isn’t it a nice feeling to hear Jeremiah telling us that amid our hurt and pain God can turn things around for us and make us brand new? He (Jehovah Rapha) said He will heal our wounds and restore our health. And not just our physical health, but mental and spiritual as well.
We just have to have faith in his ability to perform miracles in our lives. He is the same God of yesterday as he is today and what he did then he can do for you today. Restoration is already yours!
Psalms 147:3
“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”
You have been hurting for years, you have been crying for years, and you have been cut deep by the hardship of life. But today the Word of God is telling you that He is going to heal your broken spirits, he is going fix the hole that’s in your heart that was torn due to the stress of life.
We just need to set our hearts on God and rest assured that when our lives have been shattered, He will mend us back together.
Bible verses about finding faith when struggling/suffering
The verses of strength is God telling that he feels your pain, he sees the tears you cry at night. But he also tells us that through our faith we can find victory. So use these words to keep pressing on, and bring out the overcomer in you.
1 Corinthians 16:13
“Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.”
One of the easiest things to do when faced with hard times is to give up. And every time you get up, you get knocked back down again. We sometimes struggle to see the light because we are surrounded by darkness. But Paul is reminding us to stand on our faith in Christ and try to find that shimmering light that will strengthen us and help us through our struggles.
In Christ we can find strength in hard times, he is the solid rock on which we should stand. When David went up against Goliath, he could have backed away knowing what he was about to face, but did he? No. Like David, we are called to put on the whole armor of God , to be brave and step out on faith.
2 Corinthians 4: 8-9
“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.”
Here, Paul is speaking to us of the trying times that we are facing or will face. He is speaking to us in our current situation especially with what we are facing as Christians today.
It is a testimony of how these situations should not compromise our faith even when our back is against the wall. We should not be a slave to our situations.
Being a Christian doesn’t block suffering, but Paul is reminding us that we have victory in Jesus. He told us that trouble will come but Jesus is in control, and He has plans to prosper us, and so we may be knocked down but will never be knocked out.
2 Corinthians 4:17
“ For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.”
In his days, Paul was suffering immensely, he did not have it easy, he even described in Corinthians 1:8 that his afflictions were so unbearable, too much for any one human to handle. But listen, he reminds us that what we are going through is only for a little while.
Our suffering and struggles are small compared to the glory that awaits us, or small compared to the blessings he has for us. So when you going through your hell don’t stop, don’t quit, don’t give up hope because right now he is preparing you for your deliverance.
1 Peter 5:10
“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.”
In this Christian journey, suffering is inevitable, but the Bible tells us suffering will not last forever, your years of crying will be over soon. The perfect love he has for us extends to us as believers and will pull us from our struggles.
Through his grace, you can be made new. Though you’ve had the back and forth of sufferation, his promises are true, and Peter is telling us that your breakthrough is on the end of your faith in him. As believers you may be going through hell right now, but don’t give in because by grace, you will be restored.
1 Peter 1:6-7
“Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.”
When Peter wrote this, he was writing to a set of people who were hurting, a set of people who were suffering because of various trials, persecuted on every side. But he reminded that the suffering was only for a season, they needed to hold on to who God was and what he could do.
And today many of us are experiencing a season of setbacks, and as Christians, suffering is inevitable, [2 Timothy 3:12] but Peter reminds us it’s not eternal. So while you’re going through your struggles, find the strength and comfort in God to hold on a little longer. The testing of our faith is found when we rejoice in spite of our circumstances. So go ahead of give him the glory in spite of!
Bible verses about trust and faith in hard times
These verses and prayers of faith are what God equipped us with for when are facing tough times. So even though the battle might be hard right, your faith can sustain you. Just let go and let God!
Psalms 9:9-10
“The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.”
As Believers, one thing is certain, trouble will come, even when we least expect it. But the Bible says we are already saved once we put our faith in God [Ephesians 2:8]. We are covered by the blood of Jesus, and in Him we can trust, he can be who we run to, cry out to, or cast our burdens on. So when you find yourself troubled, David said there is a stronghold in Jesus, He is our refuge and strength. So today, put your trust in Jesus, live by faith and let him be your safe haven.
Exodus 14:14
“The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”
Many times in our lives we come across our own version of “Red Sea”. We feel threatened or afraid that we will never make it out alive, but here Moses was telling the Israelites to be still and trust God for he is their help and strength, a very present help in times of trouble (Psalms 46:1), he said it again in Deuteronomy 1:30, where he was encouraging them not to worry because the battle was not theirs, it was and is still today the Lord’s.
You don’t have to fight alone, because God is behind the scene working and fighting on our behalf.
Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Sometimes when we find ourselves in difficult situations, we tend to want to solve it on our own or run ahead of God because we can’t work with God’s timing.
But Solomon is clearly telling us to trust in the Lord, to have complete confidence in Him, and faith to know that whenever we face darkness, he will be the light to direct us. The first step is trusting, then submitting to Him, and he will do the rest.
Job 13:15
“Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.”
Though the enemies might come up against him, Job is declaring that whatever happens, he will put his trust in God. Though pain and suffering tormented him, he will trust in God him, even when others turn their back against him, he will trust in God.
And so today, we know the God in whom we serve, and whatever trials and tribulation we face in life, we have to stand firm on our faith as Job did so we too can be blessed bountifully. The Devil can take away everything you have on this earth but never allow him to take your faith in the Lord.
In conclusion:
I hope you found our research and explanation helpful. The scripture we found are very powerful in helping you have Faith in those really stressful times. God bless you and we are praying for God to give you strength!
